# FeatherPanel documentation

## What FeatherPanel runs

FeatherPanel is a self-hosted control panel from MythicalSystems. One panel manages three kinds of workload:

- Game servers. The [FeatherWings](https://featherpanel.com/docs/wings) daemon on each game node runs them in Docker containers.
- Virtual machines and containers on Proxmox VE, sold to users as "VDS". The panel talks to the Proxmox API directly.
- Web hosting. The [FeatherQuilld](https://featherpanel.com/docs/quilld) daemon on each web node runs WebSpaces, a reverse proxy, DNS, mail and SFTP/FTP.

The panel is released under the AGPL-3.0. FeatherWings is a fork of Pterodactyl Wings and keeps its MIT license. If you are

## How these docs are made

Scripts in [`scripts/docs-data`](https://github.com/MythicalLTD/FeatherPanel-Website/tree/v4/scripts/docs-data) generate the
reference pages from the source code of each repository: API endpoints, permission nodes, settings, plugin events, widget
slots, Wings and Quilld `config.yml` keys and command flags. The guides are written by hand against the same code. Each page
lists the source files it was written from at the bottom. If a page no longer matches the code, use "Edit this page on GitHub".
