| **Lifecycle hook** | A pipeline of steps that runs on `pre_start`, `post_start`, `pre_stop`, `post_stop` or `server_crash`. | - |

| **Database host** | A MySQL/MariaDB server where per-server databases are created. Global or bound to one node. | Database host |
