# Subusers

> Give friends or staff access to a FeatherPanel game server without sharing your password. Add subusers by email and choose exactly which permissions they get.

Subusers let other accounts work on your server with only the access you give them. Only the server owner manages
subusers, and the host can turn the feature off with `server_allow_subusers`.

## Adding a subuser

1. Open **Subusers** and click **Add Subuser**.
2. Enter the email of an existing panel account.
3. Pick permissions in **Manage Permissions**, or use Select All for full access.

Search the list by name or email. Edit permissions at any time, or delete the subuser to remove their access.

## Permissions

Permissions are grouped by area. Pages and buttons in the server are hidden when the matching permission is missing.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does the person need an account first?

Yes. The email must belong to an existing account on the panel. You cannot add yourself.

### Can a subuser add other subusers?

No. Only the server owner can manage subusers, whatever permissions the subuser has.

### What does a subuser see?

The server appears in their server list, and the sidebar only shows the pages their permissions allow.
