Uninstalling the panel
Remove FeatherPanel with the installer. What it deletes, what stays on the server, and how to clean up the web server, certificates and Wings.

Docker installs
Run the installer, pick [1] Panel, then Uninstall Panel, and confirm with y. The installer:
- Stops and disables
cloudflared. For a full automatic tunnel it also deletes the DNS record and the tunnel in your Cloudflare account. - Removes leftover
cloudflaredcontainers from older installs. - Runs
docker compose down -v, which removes the containers and all their volumes. - Deletes
/var/www/featherpanel/.env,/usr/local/bin/featherpaneland/var/www/featherpanel.
It leaves these in place:
- Docker itself and the downloaded images (
docker image prune -aremoves unused images). - The nginx or Apache site and the Let’s Encrypt certificate.
- The
featherpanel-docker-updaterservice and/etc/featherpanel/docker-updater-*.sh. - FeatherWings, FeatherQuilld and the CLI. Each has its own uninstall entry in the installer.
To clean up the rest by hand:
sudo rm -f /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/featherpanel /etc/nginx/sites-available/featherpanel
sudo systemctl reload nginx
sudo certbot delete --cert-name panel.example.com
sudo systemctl disable --now featherpanel-docker-updater
sudo rm -f /etc/systemd/system/featherpanel-docker-updater.service /etc/featherpanel/docker-updater-*.sh
sudo systemctl daemon-reload
Source installs
The installer asks whether to delete the files in /var/www/featherpanel as well. It stops and removes the
featherpanel-next, featherpanel-async-runner and backend services, the nginx site, /etc/cron.d/featherpanel and the
PHP configuration it added. The MariaDB and Redis servers and the database stay.
Reinstalling over an existing install
Choosing Install on a server that already has the panel asks you to type yes and then runs docker compose down -v,
which deletes all data, before installing again. Back up first, or use Update instead.
