Console and power

Use the FeatherPanel server console. Start, stop, restart and kill, send commands with history and completions, filter console output and read live resource use.

On this page

The console is the first page of every server. It needs the websocket.connect permission and connects your browser straight to the FeatherWings node that runs the server.

Power

ButtonPermissionWhat it does
Startcontrol.startStarts the container.
Stopcontrol.stopSends the stop command from the spell.
Restartcontrol.restartStop, then start.
Killcontrol.stopEnds the process immediately. Asks for confirmation unless you tick Don’t ask me again.

Sending commands

Type in the box at the bottom and press Enter. You need control.console and the server must be running.

  • Suggestions appear as you type. Tab cycles matches, Enter accepts, arrow keys move.
  • Command History lists what you sent before.
  • Ctrl+C with an empty box sends SIGINT.

Console tools

The toolbar above the output has search with next and previous match, auto-scroll, clear, copy selection, fullscreen, pop out to a separate window, and Upload Logs, which uploads the output to paste.mythicalsystems.org and copies a link you can give to support.

Rules and filters run on each line before it is shown: replace text, hide lines or highlight them in a color, using a regex. Quick rules add common redactions in one click.

Stats

Cards next to the console show the server address (click to copy), uptime, ping, CPU, memory, disk, network in and out, and disk I/O, with graphs. Limits come from your plan; “Unlimited” means the host set no cap.

For Minecraft, ARK, CS2, FiveM, Garry’s Mod, Rust and TF2 servers, a Players card shows the online count and names when the game reports them. The panel picks the game from the spell name.

Helpers

The console watches the output and opens a dialog when it sees:

  • Minecraft EULA not accepted: accept it and start the server in one click.
  • Wrong Java version: pick a Docker image with the right Java and save.
  • Process limit reached: suggestions and a restart button.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Stop and Kill?

Stop sends the spell's stop command so the game can save and shut down. Kill ends the process at once, which can corrupt or lose data. Use it only when Stop hangs.

Why does the console say it cannot reach the node?

The browser could not open the WebSocket to the FeatherWings node. Live output, stats and power buttons pause until it reconnects. If it does not come back, tell your host.

Can I hide IPs or tokens in the console for a stream?

Yes. Open Rules and filters and add a quick rule or a regex rule that replaces, hides or highlights matching lines. Rules only change what your browser shows.
